International Botball Tournament

Year:
2011

In early July of last summer, the Robotics Club competed in the
International Botball Tournament in Orange County. This 4 day
competition was a part of the 5 day Global Conference on Educational
Robotics (GCER), a large annual event that hosts many guest speakers and
events, all regarding robotics. At the competition, the Robotics Club
with its newly-built pair of robots represented North Hollywood High
School and won 2 awards: Outstanding Programming (the only
team to get this award) and Judges' Overall Choice (one of two). The
latter is awarded for excellence in mechanics, programming,
documentation, teamwork, sportsmanship, ambition, etc.
