2nd Place in MTNA Junior Composition

Crystal Yan won second place in the MTNA Junior Composition Competition sponsored by the Music Teachers National Association. The MTNA Composition Competition is made of three rounds - State Competition, Division (U.S. Regional) Competition, and National Finals. The winning submission was a set of four pieces for piano called Planets.

She received a cash prize from the MTNA State and MTNA National Competitions and performed the winning pieces at the state conference.
