They've done it again!

It was a heart-stopping series of events yesterday as we observed round after round of impossible science questions. In the end, the questions were not too impossible for our Science Bowl teams as they placed FIRST and THIRD in the LADWP Regional Science Bowl. In a double elimination round against formidable opponent Granada Hills, our A Team pulled out an amazing win. Captain Shaun along with teammates Kyle, Slater, Isaac and Harry will be heading to Washington D.C. to represent the region in the National Science Bowl. Rain, Jennie, Khatcher, Danny and Irene make up the B team and they, too were terrific yesterday. I don't know how everyone keeps their cool match after match. Dr. Delling, Dr. Choe and many parents and students were also there to cheer them on. This marks the 12th time our team has won the regional title in the last 13 years.
With all the wonderful talent representing the LAUSD, it's really sad that not one individual in leadership, like say the superintendent or the local superintendent or anyone outside the schools for that matter... can make it to this major competition.
